Renaming the B1G Championship Trophy

Apparently the Stagg family might have concerns about sharing the trophy with Paterno.

So who gets the vacated spot if they do indeed choose to remove Paterno's name? Or does it remain just Stagg?

How likely is it for Tom Osborne(a huge stretch) or Schembechler to get the nod? Would be funny if it was Osborne; scUM nation would implode upon itself.

Stagg, and only Stagg. Schembechler did not win nearly enough games to be considered for it. His only lasting accomplishment was giving Michigan their insufferable attitude.

Just keep it Stagg. Maybe name it for Woody Hayes or Tom Osborne, but there's not really any other coach that deserves to be on there.

Hayes and Bo have their name on the coach of the year trophy. Nebraska only has one trophy named after them (Rimington). Put Osborne on it if you decide to change it.

Naming the trophies like they did was stupid. The B1G will add more teams in the next 10 years. What are you supposed to do? Start over from scratch and rename every trophy with people from teams involved? 15 years from now are you gonna drop one name and add a great Nebraska B1G player (and what's the process and how do you justify it)? At least Osborne was instrumental in bringing Neb to the B1G.
Keep in mind, as I said, Dave Rimington is on the O-line trophy and he never played a down in the B1G.

should call it the Stagg- Tressel trophy. The explosion from AA would be epic.
The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.
