Forget the Hills and the Township. City of Rochester all the way. Move northeast of downtown to the Stoney Creek Ridge / Stoney Creek Ridge North neighborhoods. 1 mile to downtown Roch, 2 miles from Stoney Creek metropark. Great spot if you can handle 5-10 extra minutes to get to the highway.

Well it's six miles to the Palace ramp, so probably not, but if the OP is looking at significant subdivisions he'll probably be looking at least a mile south of there. Maybe I should have said 5-10 minutes.

"equally nice if not nicer in areas." Were you being serious? Obviously Bloomfield Hills is as nice or nicer than RH since the per capita income is probably double or triple RH.

And the people are nicer, too...

Serious questions - what kind of price range are you looking at and what are must haves for the house? Where's the office going to be?

$250-$350K; office in Troy at Square Lake and Crooks. My parents and grandparents still live in Rochester, so that is why we are looking at Rochester first.

Must haves for the house:

1. At least partial brick exterior.
2. 4 bedrooms.
3. 2 full bathrooms, 3 full if possible.
4. Finished basement; walk-out if possible.
5. Office/Library.
6. No pool.
7. 3 car garage if possible.
8. Side-entry garage if possible.
9. Walking distance to elementary school, if possible.
10. Backyard into the woods, if possible.
11. Most important - fun neighborhood.

I would like to use my first post to say i am a Brewster Alumni as well.

Thanks, guys. I'm excited to be moving back to Rochester. It's a great town. Neat to hear so many people who went to Brewster.
