I have met Roushar on a few occassions and he is a really good guy. Friendly, humble and treats everyone well. Having said that, I can't possibly see a downside to this unless George Perles is the next OC. Here's to the next OC...finally.

It seems odd that someone who lead such a bad offense gets interviews twice (?) for the NFL. I feel like there's a disconnect.

Best of luck to Coach Roushar. Nice guy, good position coach, but not cut out to be the OC at MSU. Reunites with some of his old buddies from Illinois so good luck to him and future success.

I don't know. All I can say is he's not being hired as a play-caller, he's being hired as an RB coach, and last I checked, we've had some good RBs here who have produced despite playing behind porous offensive lines. Saying "I coached Le'Veon Bell" would seem like a good thing to have on your resume.

Pair it with the fact that he can pitch a replacement on his development not only of players but coaches as well. I think we promote from within and hire a new position coach but that's just me. One thing is for sure, someone else is gonna get assigned to Illinois and that ain't a bad thing when it comes to recruiting.
