6. I wanna say 7-8 ish but with the home cooking and this being a rivalry game, you never know.

I'm at about 7.5 that you guys beat us.

Normally I would think a team that just lost to a team like PSU would come out pissed off. I just don't see it with this team.

Actually, I had OSU at about a 9, as I figured we'd check, and they'd struggle to get 55 if we did, and M at 7.5 or so.

Seeing us lay down on D in the second half moves M to a 5.5 for me.

And like the Donaghy crack, I expect at least 5 charges, as falling down is really M's only way to defend the paint.

Given that it's a rivalry game, and you lost to us 2 weeks ago in humiliating fashion (so revenge was already a high factor), just how much difference would it make if they came out pissed because of PSU? With everything else that is at stake, and in play, I don't see the PSU loss as a factor.

4. This will probably be a much closer game than the first one, and UM plays better at home. Crowd will be into it unless our guys get a quick start and keep a lead. I really hope a week's rest helps Appling regain his defensive mojo.

The PSU game was an anomaly. The MSU game showed the team has no guts.

I'm at about an 8. Remember, we did not play a flawless game vs. UM the first time around. Keith had 11 pts on terrible shooting and 1 assist. We played well, and UM played poorly, but it wasn't like you could look at that game and feel like the team played its best game possible.

Second point is that I think the OSU game was our only "bad" game. We played ok vs. Indiana. A couple of made free throws or better decisions at key moments in the last couple minutes, and we win that game. Again, like vs. UM, we didn't play great by any stretch of the imagination. But it's not like we were embarrassed.

Vs. OSU, I feel like there was a bit of a defensive melt-down in the second half. Definitely not a good game, especially defensively. And yet we only lost by 8 on the road to a top-4 B1G team.

I think if you look at our team over the course of the B1G season, we have steadily been getting better but are playing nowhere near our potential. We had back-to-back ok/mediocre games against two top teams in the league, and lost both of them. That doesn't change who we are, fundamentally. And who we are is markedly better than who UM is.

It's not a 10/10 -- UM is still a decent team, they'll be playing at home, they'll be fired up, and if they hit a lot of 3s early on they can be formidable. But I don't think there's an extremely high chance that happens.

Repeating, of course.
