Look at Purdue...I think they got a shot. Their road conference games are @ OSU, @ Iowa, @ Minnesota and @ Illinois. Their 3rd crossover is v. Michigan in the conference schedule opener. Though Michigan has the unfortunate first conference weekend bye before it (Purdue plays Marshall)

If Purdue beats Michigan first weekend of conference play I'll start to believe they could do it.

And that is of course correct, but any loss for Wisconsin would make their road to the championship game tougher irrespective of our predictions for Purdue. It was just kind of a non sequitur.

It's going to be cyclical. Go back 5 years ago and 6 of the top 8 teams would be in the Leaders Division (that includes Nebraska which had a losing record that year).

THIS. Wisconsin is a huge wild card because of turnover. They lost 6 assistant coaches and only return 10 starters. They're probably not going to turn into Indiana, but there's no way they're going to be the same team they've been the past two years. If PSU somehow avoids sanctions (not saying it's likely) they'll have a real shot at the division. They get OSU and Wiscy at home, and the rest of their schedule isn't bad. Away games at Iowa and Nebraska are rough, but I can see a 6-2 conference record for both the Badgers and Nittany Lions with PSU winning the head-to-head.
