Rexrode gave an update in paper today:
Old score boards: They Gone.
Cement Foundations for new boards have been dug and poured.
Scoreboards completed by August 1st
Still raising money for north lockerroo/media room/bathroom/concourse renovation/addition. Project is well into planning stages and they have plent of donors interested in helping out.
Season Ticket sales have been suspended until at least July so they can fill the more than 6000 new orders they recently received and see where they are at.
MSU at the point that they will renovate Munn over building a new arena unless they can find a "windfall" somewhere.

I hope the foundations aren't made of cement!

* Keep in mind that these two photos are to scale with each stadium photo, HOWEVER they are NOT to scale with each other. Also, I'm assuming that MSU's 3D rendering was correct and to scale.
Some stats:
Old south end zone video board size: 567 sq. ft.
New south end zone video board size: 5,412 sq. ft. New north west video board size: 1,653.75 sq. ft. New north east video board size: 1,653.75 sq. ft.
College football stadium video boards:
1) Texas -7437 sq. ft. 2) Miami(FL) - 6717 sq. ft. 3) USC - 6000 sq. ft. 4) Michigan State - 5412 sq. ft. (being built)5) Arizona - 5352 sq. ft. 6) Miss State - 5217 sq. ft. 7) Ohio State - 5208 sq. ft. (being built)

So, why didn't we go for #1 at 7,000 SF plus???

Exactly...that is a huge pet peeve of mine as well as those that pronounce asphalt as "ash-fault".
