So Brandon Inge is not Babe Ruth, but Lou Gehrig...

  • Apparently he is the first player since Gehrig to have four, 4-RBI games in a 5-game span since Lou Gehrig, while raising his average on the season to a whopping--- .197.

However it was just a rumor that a party was held Down River to celebrate this feat and that blonde kids with Inge jerseys were showing up screaming "Hall of Fame!" and women were exposing their breasts screaming, "We love you Brandon!" Simply a bad rumor. However one old guy was snuggled up to his bottle on a park bench and said, "Inge, did that? Wow, I didn't think the Tigers pitching was that bad."

  • Lou Gehrig never batted below .200 in a season where he played more than 100 games.

    Gehrig's lifetime 162 game average was .340 / 37 HR

  • You people that are obssesed with Inge crack me up. I'm not sure if it was more fun when he sucked for the Tigers or now that he is Lou Gehrig.

Yes I also remember Inge's recent remarks about himself saying he never had too many opportunities to drive in runs when he was playing for the Tigers.

He had 2 seasons with over 80 in 12 years. The guy was a black hole as a batter. I cannot understand the love afair some Tigers fans (not you) still have for him. He had a nice run, managed to get $32.5M in his last 7 contract years with Detroit. One of Dombrowki's only major errors in the pay vs production .234 average for that $32.5M.

I'm glad he's gone. Feel bad for Raburn but time catches up with everyone and he isn't getting $5.5M to stink like Inge did last season.

  • Brandon took one to right field last nite. If I were in Smokies place I would have fined Inge for not hitting to the right side at least twice a game. Smokie don't like small ball.

Inge also got 5.5 Mil this season, 2012. Oakland pays 440 G of that

  • So what actor plays Inge in moneyball 2???

    Tiger v Gorilla

  • He can hit 10 grand slams and 20 3 run homers and if he was still a Tiger he would be hitting .130 so who cares.

  • You people were idiots for driving Inge out of town. I have to say, in this case the torch and pitchfork mob was absolutely wrong. Inge was a great Tiger, and you dumb fucks screwed it up.

It will be a lot more fun when he starts sucking again for the A's like he did for the Tigers. Nothing pisses me off more than to see a guy my team gives every conceivable chance in the world to remain with the parent club and they finally give up on him and he goes to some other team and starts lighting it up. Good guy or not, it's hard to feel really "good" about his newfound success with someone else.
