A friend of mine with AAA called them earlier and said they couldn't because it wasn't his car. I wasn't around when he did it, or else I would have told him not to say it wasn't his car. Does that matter though? As long as someone has a card??

All you have to do is have someone with a card make the call and identify the car and where it's located. Of course they should say the car is theirs. Not once has the tow truck driver asked to see the card once they came to unlock it for me, and I've used other people's cards 3-4 times now.
