Spartans Nearing Big Commitment?

    Maybe I'm missing something, but didn't UM just receive a commit from Gedeon who is also a LB? If so, does this make Hoke a liar or just a plain ol' chubby feller? Something doesn't add up here...

    It has been rumored for over a month that Gedeon was a silent commit. Around the same time they told Jones not to visit, they told the same thing to Anzalone (LB out of Pennsylvania) and O'Daniel (LB out of Maryland).

    As an OSU fan, I'd rather have Jones than Gedeon for sure. Jones would definitely be a good commit for MSU. Ohio State is still waiting on their 4-5 LB offers before they move on to plan B, but I don't think Jones is necessarily plan B in terms of talent, just in the type of player OSU is looking for at the linebacker position.

    FWIW, he's also a 4-star on Rivals.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

    Didn't mean to come across that way. MSU has talent to burn at LB, and if he commits a RS is highly likely and he would more than likely see Special Teams time his first year then get worked into the regular rotation after that.
