Steve- Is it just me or has MSU started to recruit like the UofM and OSU; offer a lot of scholarships and then see how the chips fall. I personally like the new approach. Any thoughts on the downsides to this approach?

OConnor is supposed to decide by early march, so nows probably the right time to start offering other guys, just in case

I'm confused. What in the world is going on with Henderson? He and his dad mentioned they wanted to close out the process over a month ago? Kizer is waiting out other offers but we lead there too for now and we've supposedly been in a good spot for awhile now with O'Connor. I feel like the staff is telling us where we stand with those guys by offering Durkin.
Anyone have any insight?

There are some issues about whether Henderson's credits will transfer into his new school or something. He probably has some academic stuff to do before a school could accept his commit.
I gotta say though, this offer surprises me. I wonder if it is commitable. Have we offered more QBs than offensive linemen in 2014?

This kid is big and physical - I can definitely see him becoming our version of Belldozer or Tebow his 1st 2 years at UF.
He doesn't have the arm strength of O'Connor or Henderson nor the straightline speed that Kizer has but Durkin has good feet and a quick release.
It may be a stretch but our coaches may be thinking about him as a jumbo athlete who could grow to 235-240 by the time he's a RS SO and play FB/HB. It's not completely crazy if you watch his JR highlights.
