I have to say SI, et al, perpetuated the myth that was "Penn St", so I have a little bit of a hard time swallowing sanctimony from them.
Whatever though, just happy to see that PSU got more than the strongly worded letter in their file that I joked about.

Certainly every school has issues, hasn't it been about a decade of PSU competing for police blotter NCs?
JoePa and Co had been looking the other way on that kind of stuff for a while, yet its all "the uniforms" and integrity seemingly based on the distant past.
SI themselves had PSU at #4 with a shade under 20% of their players with an arrest, but still talks (it seems from the headline) like they were a guiding light for college football before this story broke.

This!!! Their "reporter" just wrote an article broiling PSU while simultaneously admitting that he had ignored a call from a PSU prof. that he could have followed up on when he was writing a pro-Paterno article. Didn't even call the prof and ask what problem he had, simply blew the guy off.

That was Rick Reilly, who wrote the article for SI, but is now at ESPN.
