if you've never lived outside of the flint area, you don't realize how bad and boring it is. having to live the rest of my life in the flint area would be like a slow, painful death.

I grew up in that area and worked at Buick City for a while. Its really hard for me to drive up 475 and see that empty lot. Its really a shame that the east side in particular is filled with check cashing and boost stores. Even the bars and restaurants look rough. But I still find time when Im up there to visit angelo's or Luigis

Go to downtown. You have 501, Blackstone, the Torch, and Churchills to choose from.

Downtown like the above post. The Red Baron has a good craft beer selection.

Do not waste your time at Redwood, place is over priced, food is awful, beer is OK, not worth it at all.

Downtown is the way to go, 501/Wise guys pizza is good, Blackstones is solid, but if you are looking for a great burger and cheap beer the Torch is the place to go.

Red Barron is decent as well, lots of brew on tap (Most in the Flint area).

They used to make Buicks there.

Got lost driving in Flint once and ran into the ghetto. I hit Dupont and MLK Ave in the North End. Every house was either boarded up or had guys sitting on the porch. Scariest experience for me ever.

It depends what you mean by decent. I agree with most of the selections. Cork is another good choice downtown even if you're not a wine connoisseur.

No kidding. I live in GB. There's a major difference between the two. There's roughly three neighborhoods worth living in the city (if you include the downtown lofts).

Haven't been in years, but Luigi's is fantastic if you like thin crust pizza, and if it's still open.

Fuck that, just go to downtown and spend time in Flint, it'll build character. Don't listen to Sir Snores-Alot above me. He sounds like just another Big White resident.
