Suggest a deer repellant

Anybody have any good remedies to stop deer from invading my bushes and plants? Store bought, homemade? And no I don't have a gun

Human or any carnivore hair works really well and is actually great fertilizer. Also they make a movement sensor that will sound like a dog or coyote barking. Or I have a gun and can take care of it. Also if you buy some bottle rockets and when you see them shoot them in their general direction it will scare them away and usually for awhile.

Cheap Fixes: Buy a bag of Milorganite (which is a slow release organic nitrogen fertilizer) and spread it around plants, Shave a bar of zest soap put it into nylons and hang it behind plants, Buy some Pie tins and hang behind plants from a rope (deer wont like the reflecting tin moving).
Expensive Fixes: product called Liquid Fence (Smells awful but works well), product called Plantskydd (smells awful works well) these two fixes must be done every 1-2 months.
I work at landscaping/nursery store and we use Liquid Fence on trees and shrubs.

I remember all of those little, stupid whistles many of us put on the front of our cars that were supposed to scare deer off. I think deer were actually attracted to them.

I have been using that Liquid Fence this summer and it seems to work well, no major deer attacks on plants that have been sprayed with it, I do try to apply it at least weekly because of the heavy deer population around my house. I also use one of these in my veggie garden:

Every time you see a deer, run out there and try to hop on and go for a ride. They don't really like that.

Believe it or not, moth balls. By a box and spread them around the plants you want to protect. Don be stingy, you may need multiple boxes. They also repel rabits and other vermin.

just google homemade deer repellent.
Most have egg yolks, garlic, pepper in them. Deer apparently hate the smell of egg yolks.

Milorganite works very well. Just applied it to my hostas about 2 weeks ago and they haven't been back.

A friend recommended spreading mothballs around my garden when I had a rabbit problem, but by the time I caught and castrated the moths, my garden was fucked.

Yep this also works well if you're storing a car for the winter. Keeps mice and rats out.
