Yeah, it's gonna have a tight lid on it.
I can't wait, though. That trailer gave me an ET-vibe. Looks like it could be the most entertaining film of the summer.

I think C&A won't do very well, audiences could be confused by the plot. But I'm there for sure.

I saw it and liked it. I recommend it too.
And no, I won't tell you what it is about. You just have to see it. The kids in it are pretty damn good actors.

But seriously, really good movie.
I grew up watching ET and all those 80's Spielberg flicks and this really felt like them. Made me feel like a little kid again.
I have to see it again because I went to take a piss right when the big plot point was being revealed

Saw it last night. Very pleasantly surprised. It was quote entertaining. Definitely recommend.

Have any of you ever seen E.T.? The whole ending to that movie is a cornfest. Goonies anyone? Stand By Me? This movie was an homage to that "type" of films. I too felt the ending was a bit corny but it fit with the atmosphere the movie was trying to create.
Film was mint.

Saw the movie - thought it was pretty good - definitely geared to the middle school / early high school age group - very good acting by the kids in the movie - they were the stars. Pretty nice use of cusswords, too - lots of holy shits and a classic wtf moment. Definitely has the E.T. Vibe.

Loved it. Was clearly a love letter to Abrams childhood and an homage to the type of movies that influenced him. I agree there was some cheese toward the end, but in a way it felt right.
The performances were very strong. Movie looked cool. Train sequence was great and original.
Can't wait for Star Trek 2. Abrams is the man.

8 out of 10. Great film, and really did capture the "Summer Film" feel that Spielberg brings to his movies.

Yeah, I hate those movies. Stand by Me wasn't horrible. I can't stand Speilberg's goodie-two-shoes, cutesie feel.
And romance between prepubescents just doesn't interest me and seems kind of creepy.
I'll grab the DVDrip and watch it for the heck of it. And it can only surprise me because I'm expecting a cornfest.
