They are contractually obligated to sell them for the Amazon price. They're not going to discount them. Ever.

Interestingly, when I bought a Kindle Touch for a relative, it was from Target instead of ordering online, even though I have Amazon Prime. I just wanted it that day. I guess Amazon got the money either way.

We have an interesting rumor that comes from two different sources suggesting that Target may be having a fantastic clearance sale on all Kindle
