A lot of people like to act like movie connoiseurs. These people will never admit to liking Ted no matter how funny it may be.

Umm, what? Guess I don't understand how the fact that he was supposed to be on one of the planes that went down gives him the right to make 9/11 jokes. It was a traumatizing experience I'm sure, but by no means should it give him the right to make light of a horrible tragedy.

He was the third best actor in that film (Bale stole the show, Amy Adams played her role very well). Wahlberg plays the same guy in every movie.

Maybe humor is his way of dealing with it. It's not far-fetched to see people who have been through traumatic experiences deal with it through humor. But ultimately it's a question of why not? Feel free to call it tasteless and not buy anything the guy is selling but he has every right and freedom to say what he wants.
Humor is exactly what the first amendment stands for. Maybe you have problems with 9/11 jokes and Seth doesn't, but maybe he has problems with cancer jokes and you don't. There are a million possibilities of things that could bother one person that do not bother another. Humor (ie speech) is an "all or nothing" thing imo because the second you begin to regulate any of it you're being unfair to a majority of people.

I loved it and I'm that cynical almost 50 year old guy that doesn't find most modern comedies funny. There was one brief 9/11 joke that I didn't find offensive at all.

It was far better than I thought it would be; but if you're over 40 I'm guessing you won't like it. If you liked the red band trailer, you'll love it.

Oddly enough, just about every part from the trailers comes in the first few minutes of the movie. And after that it doesn't get any less funny.

Haha I wanted to see Ted based on the commercial they show on TV, this one makes me want to go see it 10x more now. I saw this in the thread days ago on my phone and didn't feel like watching it on my phone. Clicked it now at home and I'm glad I went back to page 1.

It is. My buddies and I smoked up before we went and were dying during the Flash Gordon part. Watching it stoned definitely helps.
Also there is a hilarious cameo with a certain actor that had us all laughing as well.
