I have never understood the reason for the reboot. Outside of money, of course. Don't get it from a story perspective as they've burned through so many villains.

Nice find. I was surprised at how much footage there was in the trailer and yet the movie's a year away.

Surprisingly good. I think they are going a little edgier, as opposed to the more comic-bookish way Raimi went. I like the Raimi movies, and even think 3 wasn't as bad as a lot of people say it is. I think this will be good, and without a lot of star power there is less liklihood of the cast falling apart the way it did with the original movies.

This looks awful. CGI looks shitty so far. And fuck that first-person stuff.

I wish they got another actor close to Tobey's age and just continued the Spider-Man story after 3. I hate re-telling the origin again, considering SM3 came out 4 years ago.

Well the movie has wrapped already. They've gotta spend a TON of time on the visual effects, especially considering the villain is Curt Connors/Lizard.

Unlike Batman, which is still filming and didn't have a great amount of footage to show.

Agreed, the Incredible Hulk was worth a second reboot, but I don't really think that is a great analogy to make.

The Hulk was one movie, that got mediocre reviews, and made some money at the box office, but wasn't a blockbuster. A lot of people never made a point of watching it.

Spider-Man was a total gangbusters blockbuster trilogy with 3 installments that each sold more than 3 times as many tickets as the Eric Bana Hulk movie. And 2 of the 3 were critically acclaimed as well. Total home-run success.

The last installment was just 4 years ago, and now they're already saying, "okay everybody, forget all of that, that never happened." I'm not saying the new one will be good or bad, no idea, just seems really soon to reboot one of the most successful movie franchises of at least the past few decades.

I was bummed to, but I am willing to give it a chance. Spiderman is by far my favorite comic character of all time, so it will have to be full of suck for me to not like it.

The first-person POV is pretty cool, but otherwise, it looks worse. Looks like they’re going for some kind of Christopher Nolan batman vibe. And failing.

That looks awful. Just really, really bad. Way too soon to "reboot" this franchise, and they're not even doing a good job of it.
