They clearly go out of the way to include the figure in the background, who appears to be standing there motionless in green pants holding either binoculars or a blow-gun

It could be in the narrows... unless it's under Wayne Manor and the new building is still under construction.
But it looks like Bane figures out who Batman really is.

I've read that the chanting is in a foreign language and means "he rises". If true, points to Ras and of course the pits.

Bane will probably figure out who Batman is because it's quite possible we find out they were in the League of Shadows together.
In the trailer there's a shot of Bruce doing pushups - look closely and see he has a beard. That must be a flashback to the prison/training from Batman Begins.
As for the guy in the background in the end of the teaser, he seems to have both hands on or around his neck. My guess is Bane breaks into the new Batcave and surprises Batman to a fight. The guy in the background might be Alfred put into a noose by Bane. There were spy reports of Michael Caine shooting hospital scenes...

It might be someone with a gun forcing Batman to fight. Maybe this is their first fight in the movie and Batman gets his ass kicked?

Why do you guys get so hard over clips and photos of this movie? I loved the first two, but im perfectly content to just wait for the third.
Why do you need to dig at it? It's Batman and it's Nolan; it will be awesome. Why do you need more details?

I'm just a big Batman fan in general. Love the comics/novels/movies (except for the Schumacher ones...), and keeping up on the news is a side-hobby I guess. I KNOW it's nerdy, but I'm a big movie/music/TV buff anyways.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm excited for the movie to come out, but don't follow the clips, photos, etc.
Having said that, I think we all have stuff that we follow like that. For example, I follow MSU pretty closely which isn't really any different. Every fall freshmen recruits are going to show up on campus and I have no impact on who ends up there, yet I still follow it because I find it interesting.
