The Day-Day "T" is the most damning call

I also think it was pretty harsh, but just to be clear - the on-the-court ability of a player should not give him more leeway against T's.

Good point, and I wish that was how basketball was scored/refereed, but it simply isn't. Love it or hate it, the game of basketball is a players sport. All refs "ref" it that way and it should remain consistent. It does normally, but today it didn't.

  • I wonder if he would have been teed up if he had just thrown the ball over his shoulder?

The number of calls a ref has missed against a player should give him more leeway.

  • The random nature of these technicals is what frustrates me. If this is a "point of emphasis", it should be called all the time. Yet, it clearly isn't. Exhibit A: Sullinger tossing the ball over his head out of bounds towards the end of the Northwestern game out of frustration with no call (which could have led to an OSU loss).
