The Killing on AMC

That said, I bet it was the millionaire and he's framing the politician.

He probably stole the magenta toner as well. upset

It's not enough to bash in heads, you have to bash in minds.

  • I've stuck with this show. I think they went to the "red herring" well way too many times and I'm sure are going there again with the councilman and the millionaire. I'm gonna guess that the councilman's campaign manager did it because they haven't hinted about him at all.

I really like the actor who plays Holder, the former narc cop. He plays the role of an ex-tweaker perfectly.

The episode with the missing kid was dreadful.

Finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for the series though. No clue how they could consider greenlighting a 2nd season.

    It's been renewed.

i'm guessing his lead manager who he's boinking...which i decided on at the moment he said "if i win it'll be because of my wife" - i.e. she'll never be what she wants to be and she probably new about the other girls with the billionaire and killed her out of jealousy and he's been covering for her. something like that....

If I had something else to watch, I wouldn't even be watching it. I can't see how you renew this. You can tell by the number of seeders for it that it's not terribly popular. Game of Thrones has 10x the seeders.

I literally paged forward in the previous episode it was so fucking boring. It has it's moments but it just hits lulls sometimes that make me glad I'm not watching it live.

Can't wait for Dexter, Breaking Bad or Mad Men to start again.

Does anyone have a good recommend for another series? Game of Thrones is incredible.

The episode prior to this where her kid went missing and they didn't even work on the murder case had me scratching my head. What's the point of that anterior plot line? But I'm excited to see who did it. I agree with people above that it's the campaign manager.

As for a second season I can totally see them working on a new murder every year, I'm afraid it'll all end up like this season where it takes way to long for a whosedoneit? They should do a 6 episode mini series, 12 is too long.

Wow. I'm kinda shocked. Other than the missing son episode I actually liked the pacing and style just as a change of pace from the norm on TV these days. I just figured not enough other people would be watching to get it renewed. I don't love it, but haven't stopped watching.

Agreed. This series should not be 13 episodes long. They could have easily shorten this and it would have been better. The show is ok. By the time I got to ep. 7 I wanted to quit but gone to far to not see who the killer was. That and theres not much else on at 10 on sunday.

  • I have watched every episode. It’s not worthy of the “Twin Peaks” comparison but nearing the end I have to say overall I liked it. In the middle some of the story line was getting stale and over-repeated- needlessly. This next to the last episode moved quickly and the last episode proves to be exciting.

Jesus. This kinda makes me mad, actually. Not that I won't watch for a second season to make more fun of it, but how in the fuck can Terriers, Detroit 187, and Lights Out be one and done while this piece of shit show gets renewed?

I loved that show. I thought it blew AMC's other new shows -- Walking Dead, The Killing -- out of the water.

Rubicon apparently started with 2 million viewers, the most ever for an AMC series at the time, but ended with around half that many viewers.

Didn't it premier after the Breaking Bad S3 finale?

If you like All The President's Men/Three Days of the Condor-type suspense, I'd highly recommend watching it on iTunes of something. The conclusion isn't perfect, but it at least wraps up the season well enough that you won't feel cheated.

No doubt I'm a homer and would have loved to see 187 stay on the air, but I actually found it watchable. This show is freaking horrible.

There are no likeable characters. None. Maybe Richmond (note that I haven't finished watching this week's episode yet). The only reason Holder is likeable is because he's so fucking stupid. Linden has no personality. Unless "frigid bitch" is a personality.

There are a ridiculous amount of plot holes. So your son is becoming a fuck up and calling your social worker a lezbo and you decide that your best course of action to keep him out of trouble is to check him in to a fleabag motel amongst tranny hookers and crackheads and leave him unsupervised for the day? Brilliant.

The family scenes with the Larsens that have been a recurring theme throughout the season have been brutal. I mean absolutely brutal. At first I didn't like them because, as a parent, I could not imagine how awful it would be to lose a child. Then, I started to think they were boring. Then I started to wonder why the fuck they were still including them. Then I started to hate "Mitch". Then the boys started asking stupid questions which made for really awkward television. Then the dad took Ahmed out into a field and beat him up while the really smart sidekick buddy thought it would be fun to punch a rock repeatedly. I mean WTF was that??

The rain. Holy shit the rain. I know it rains in Seattle. In fact I have been there a few times in the past couple of months. But jesus Christ does it EVER stop pouring? Not according to this series. I don't think there has been one single outdoor scene since the pilot aired where it wasn't dogs and cats living together, Noah's ark style pouring. It's just ridiculous.

It started off with some promise in the first couple of episodes, but now it's a trainwreck. I love a good trainwreck.

    To each their own, obviously.

Just as a comparison, The Killing was watched by 2.7 million viewers it's first night (4.7 mil including its premiere encores) and The Walking Dead had 5.3 million viewers.

The Killing has held onto 2 million of those viewers week to week.
