It just makes me giggle with joy seeing him do that.

A 180-190 lb DB can't try to tacke him high or they'll bounce right off, so they have to keep going low. That's what makes it a legit move, and not just a high school gimmick that looks good on YouTube. *cough* McGuffie.

Can't remember his number - but there was that one CB that was Bell's little bitch all day - dude was trucked at least 4 or 5 times.

The really amazing part of that move is two fold. First, how freaking high he gets, but more impressive to me is the timing required to hurdle a moving object. Its one thing to hudle that high over something stationary, but to time that so the defender has no chance of standing up and still clearing them really is quite remarkable.

Didn't he hurdle some people last year too?

If Lippet had the blocking skills and tenacity of Keith Nichol, he would have easily taken out two of the defenders and knocked them into the third defender for a clearer path. He has had that whole matador blocking going on and it certainly does not help Bell.

The amazing thing about his leaps are that he is so quick with the move, you dont see a lot of stutter stepping to get vertical. Bell does it in stride and like others have said he is already looking at the next defender.

Best leap I had seen before by a Spartan had to have been Lorenzo White vs Wisky in the snow at Camp Randall. Had the black and white on in the dorm room watching it. After that drawing a blank until Linthicum did it over a db.

Someone with gif skills should make one of him jumping the NW player and another of the Iowa player last year. Both jumps can be found on Pietrang's Le'veon Bell Heisman video. I wanted this morning but every time I tried it failed.
