Surprised. Not one player on the roster has said they are leaving yet. Two future players (recruits) have flipped but thats it.

O'brien appears to be doing a great sales job so far. He is pitching them making it to the NFL saying that the NFL doesn't care about bowl games. Said they will still be playing on TV and in front of 108,000 people. Also says they can "unofficially" win the leaders division.

I heard O'brien on espn this morning: I was a little surprised. He handled himself quite well I thought. Laid out some very basic points and appealed to the remaining players loyalty and courage to stay. Fast foward to 5pm today and I'm listening to WSCR 670 am and they have the Big Ten beat reporter on from the Trib (Teddy Greenstein) and he proceeds to rip the guy and infers that he's a dolt. Dunno, guess its all relative. But I WILL say this, I thought a lot of kids would stay at first...but slowly and surely, they will go: especially the underclassmen.

    haha ah man, that sucks.

But right now I think they've circled the wagons and many players are under pressure from their friends. As time goes on, I think about several players in the current 2-deep will trickle away.

Hey O'brien, making a bowl game gives you more prep time to get prepared for the NFL...its called extra practices for the players

true.......his points dont' lack passion but..........they are thin at best: At one point this morning on espn he said: "I tell the guys that playing 6-7 times per year in front of 108k is better than any BOWL game.".............like I said earlier, he represented himself well overall, but that point was a stretch to say the least. As for the 108k: that may be true for this season but come 2013? Not so much I'd guess.....

Bullllllllllllllllllllllllllll-Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitt! Meyer would crawl over the body of his mother to get a 4* signed.

Meyer and Bielema are Big Ten brothers of Penn State who can't believe the callousness of others' poaching. (Oh, please.)

In their 10-minute segments this morning before assembled reporters at Big Ten media day in Chicago, coaches of both of Penn State's prime Leaders Division rivals declared poaching Penn State players as off-limits Both Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema and Ohio State coach Urban Meyer expressed some disdain for what other programs are doing, reportedly stationing recruiters in the Lasch parking lot. How large of them both. Excuse me if I'm not buying the sanctimonious posturing here but one main factor immediately springs to mind: Neither Ohio State nor Wisconsin really needs Penn State's players. They are as deep any rosters in the...

Penn State players and one of their 247 guys tweeted earlier in the week that they saw Wisconsin staff around campus, so I wouldn't really believe everything Bielema said about it. Most likely it became apparent that him and his staff would catch shit for it like Illinois and he called off the dogs before the staff was able to start communicating with players.

Meyer is your standard frustrating hypocrite. Nine times out of 10 the guy is Shady Stan but there's always that one time where he takes a respectful stand on something with a pretty overwhelming majority and you're like lol really, guy? He's just being patient. He knows Pennsylvania will be ripe for the taking in the next 3-4 classes and there's no need to cause an uproar right now.

Yes, he can afford to play "good cop" now. Then annex western PA in year or two.

Bielema is such a huge douche and hypocrite. He cried about Meyer stealing one recruit while he stole NINE committed guys from Brewster. He didn't like it when someone did to him what he was doing to others.
