It's not hard to read the signs and a clock is it?
There is limited parking. I have an employee parking pass and if I'm not in a spot before 9AM I have to search for an eligible spot. Additionally, I am mall stalked on my way out every night. This is mainly due to people without passes parking in the wrong spots. I have no problem walking from an eligible spots to my office...the usable campus really isn't that large.

No, hes right. I should walk from one corner of campus to the other three times a week...and when I only have 15 minutes to do so and want to use a meter, I'll put in $20 since I don't know if I'll be there 15 minutes or 5 hours. I'll also tell the faculty that I can't stay an extra 15 minutes to finish up a project because I don't want to park illegally and make employees upset that I'm using spots that they don't even use. Problem solved!

They may not be using them that moment that you decide to illegally park, but it doesn't mean they haven't been paying for the right to use those spots when they need them.
Walking from one corner of campus to the other is not that hard. Plan better and you won't have 15 minutes (I used to make from Rather to Chemistry in 20-25 minutes on foot.) Get a bike...take the bus if you are so busy.
You wouldn't have to tell the faculty that you can't stay if you didn't park illegally in the first place.
Meters are short term use...Don't park there if there is a chance you could be somewhere for 5 hours.
It's not that hard. A lot of students go though their years at MSU with zero parking tickets. It's your own laziness and stupidity that causes them, not an unfair system, not anyone out to get you, nobody owes you anything...parking tickets are your own fault. Grow up and stop whining. I hope you never have to live/work in downtown Chicago/New York/DC.

So I was walking back to my car in front of Fee today and noticed a parking nazi writing me a nice $15 ticket. I figured out that I had only been two minutes expired, but that's my bad so whatever...don't hate the player, hate the game, right? I went home and paid the ticket as I had done a dozen times before and realized I was up to $150 this year alone...enough for season football tickets. FML

I know how it is, I was a student at MSU at one time as well. The sooner you learn the world does not revolve around you, that there are rules in place for a reason, and breaking these rules affects other people, the more smooth your life will go.

Get off your high horse. I work full time so I can pay my way through school. The rules are in place for a reason: to steal money from hard working college students. I realize that. Don't treat me as some sort of naive child, because I'm willing to bet I bust my ass harder to pay my way through school than you did when you were an undergrad, and undoubtedly had daddy footing the bill for you to get drunk. You probably had to learn that the world doesn't revolve around you after college, but that doesn't mean everyone else is a selfish son of a bitch.
Oh, and it's "more smoothly". Hopefully that employee permit isn't for any educational job.
