  • I worked at a dog kennel literally right at that intersection for a year and would hear story like this all the time. Just terrible what people do to other people and their animals. It makes me so upset to hear this is happening right in my backyard.

    Agreed. The life of a beloved family pet is infinitely more important than the lives of these degenerates imo. Complete waste of space and good air if you ask me. It wouldn't phase me a bit to hear that someone went apeshit and put a bullet into each one of their skulls. People like that are the scum of the earth and there really isn't a reason for them to be on the earth imo.

    I'm with you. I mean, shit, I can't imagine being callous enough to torture and kill dogs for entertainment in the first place. But to steal people's family members to do so, that's a new kind of evil. I'd rather they be put in a pit and forced to fight each other to the death instead of just ending them quickly.

    I have heard horrible stories from people that work at Kennels, the Humane Societies etc.. I couldn't do it. It is also a reason a lot of Vets don't get into the pet business.

  • Damn. My family lives at five and Newburgh. Actually had a dog stolen about 15 or 16 years ago. He was a cool dog. Damn that sucked

    Couldn't agree more. Sticking these idiots in a pen and forcing them to fight to the death would be ultimate justice. I'd be fully in support of that.

    I remember my dog from that age and how devastated I was when we had to put her down. I look at my dog and my son now and if someone hurt my dog and in turn hurt my son because of it, I don't even know how I would react. Hell I watched a buddies cat for awhile and then a couple weeks ago we watched the cat again for the weekend and my son was happier then anything to see the cat again. And he hadn't seen the cat in close to a year. He remembered the name and everything. Even 2 year olds consider pets members of the family.

    I always tell people I support the eye for an eye method. No reason you should get off easy if you tortured someone to death. I'd like to see these people tied up and have a dog or lion maul them to death. Seems sick but idc, these people deserve it and it wouldn't phase me in the least. Kill em all.

    I can't even imagine what I would do if my dog was stolen. No way I'd be the guy passing out flyers on the street corner. I'd be the trigger happy guy kicking in front doors with a shotgun. If I figured out who took my dog I'd leave a path a destruction that would make hurricane katrina jealous to get her back.

    It's all about intent. Bad happen sometimes and it's unfortunate. But intentional infliction, to me, is the prime eye for an eye candidate. You don't want to be treated like you treated others? Then don't do it. Mental illness is a whole other issue, but in my book if they don't pass the insanity defense, string 'em up.

    Other then Funerals, I have seen more Grown men cry over the loss of their dogs then anything else.

    no doubt. not to get much off topic, but there is some freaky stuff that happens when you dream. something similar happened to me when a good friend passed away after a long battle with cancer, and it still leaves me in absolute wonder whenever i think about it.

    Yeah it was pretty awful. My dad was really pissed. I only was about 5 or 6 though so it was hard to understand why someone would steal our dog.

  • quick question for the lawyers on here, say you were to tie a person up in a chair and then set a couple of their "trained" dogs on them and the dogs end up killing the owner. could you potentially be charged with anything? not that it would matter, because no sane jury would convict you of course.

    Large Animal. Wildlife, Zoo's etc... I had a former boss at the DNR that left the "pet" business to be a Biologist for the DNR ( a lot less money) because he couldn't handle people bringing in their pets to be put down just because they didn't realize the "work" it took to take care of them, the abused pets etc..

    Not sure if serious...Yes - you would be charged with murder. Killing dogs does not equal killing humans - you people are suffering from serious anthropomorohism issues.

    but my point is how could i murder them if it was their own dogs that did it? i'm asking how could the prosecution pin the murder on me? what if i tied him up while i went to get the police and the dogs just happened to get out and attack him?
