Three largest online poker sites indicted and shut down by FBI

  • LogicalBuck said...

You'll probably have to contact customer service. Not long after the ban, PokerStars forced American users to withdraw their money when they logged on. I requested a check on 4/27 and received it via FedEx on 5/5. Sometime in the past month or so my PokerStars software wouldn't even allow me to login anymore and I was forced to download a new client from pokerstars.net and now I can only access play money tables. I no longer have a cashier button or access to my old account info. I assume that's the situation in which you find yourself.

You can contact them at support@pokerstars.com.

Yeah that is exactly what is going on. I went awhile without playing and just recently went on and this is exactly what is happening. Thanks I will look into it!

and who is downvoting me for no reason? Step up and be a man about it! If you want a DSF just call me out dont hide behind the down votes!

  • Guess this makes sense that last year it took almost 6 months to get paid out by FT.

I can't attach because of IE7 my work forces me to use, but here is the link.

  • Welp. It has been a year and a day since Black Friday. I really miss online poker. Anywhere I can play online? I occasionally see commercials for free/no deposits websites. I can't find any though/cant remember the sites.

  • One is clubwpt.com. Can't play if you live in Michigan though.

Go to the casino. More fun anyway.

What is that, a Titleist? A hole in one...

Damn it. I looked into it, doesn't appear to have a mac client either. FML.

I used to love the small buy in tournaments FullTilt and other poker sites. 10 dollar tournaments - 1000+ players for example. Can't really do that at a casino. I'd spend a whole Sunday playing in the tournament just for fun.

I loved teh knockout tourneys. Placed in teh top 10 in a few that were 500 -800 players. FT had also started those tourneys with 10k people or whatever it was, those were fun, I think the best I did there was somewhere around 900, which paid out a little.

I am playing on bovada.lv as we speak.Bodog spun it off for North America.

Anonymous tables suck but oh well.Play TAG and get your checks in 2-3 weeks when you cash out.

I also play on Lockpoker, which is a Merge skin,I believe.Payouts are 6-8 weeks but you still have your poker name and can follow other players.

    Those 2 are really it.

  • The head of MGM said recently he believes we will have full online poker back in the states by the end of this year.

    I hope he 's right.

I'd rather pay taxes on winnings and have the fish come back.

That'd be good. I've heard that it would be casino run. This way people would play on sites for the casino experience instead of getting people to play on the sites because certain pros do.

    It needs to come back!

  • Check out carbonpoker.com...pretty good for small stakes tourneys. I had no problems depositing, but haven't tried cashing out yet.

Still, online can't match the casino experience...

I was no good at all and I could win small amounts at Party Poker in its heyday. If online poker ever went to full-bore legality the amount of fish would be unreal.

    lol

Giving them your money is always easy. In fact, they'll let you give them as much as you want.

Ya I hear ya. Have a few hundred on FTP that I will be using once it's back up. Micro to small stakes is really fun and not stressful like throwing $400 on a cash table at the casino. Even though I consider myself a decent player, I'll stick to small stakes.

That's why I only play small stakes online...deposit a small amount that I realize I may never see again, and have fun killing time playing at home. When I want to play for higher stakes, I just go to the the casino.

Just don't trust online after Black Friday...

confused You have a few hundred what on FTP? If you haven't gotten it by now its gone, FTP isn't coming back even if its legalized in the US.

Why? Every site returned the $$. FTP was shut down before Black Friday I believe, or I had stopped going there and switched to Poker Stars for some reason, but I had no problem getting my $15 back.

    $15? Hello, minnow.

  • Such a waste of resources to ban this stuff. As long as it's voluntary and it's their own money, let people play.

  • I play on Bovada. Can usually find a decent game at most times of the day/night. Certainly not as busy as FT was back in the day but better than nothing.
