No need to use Papa in the 9th
Benoit could have gone 2 innings or they had Dotel ready
Plus Valverde pitched the last 2 days before today

Almost no one's happy as a full time DH. Thome and Edgar Martinez, and now Victor since he's physically unable to catch. That's about it.

Big game tomorrow, being a few games over five hundred seems a lot better than being right there. Can't do anything about the White Sox winning until you play them again. As long as the Tigers keep winning they'll be fine. Heck, they're closer to the wildcard (3 games) then they are to the division (4.5).

Yeah the common complaint when they added the 2nd wildcard was that it was put in to assure both the Yanks and Red Sox make the playoffs. But given how competitive the AL East has become, neither wildcard spot may come out of the East.

What did he say?
He shouldn't be complaining about his position on this team, especially after the incident in New York. Also, the fact that he cannot field worth a damn, and that's putting it mildly.
