I think we're overemphasizing the order of the games here, I mean by the logic, we can't claim any title where UofM had a win over a team that was in contention. By this logic, since we "needed" Ohio State to lose to Michigan last year, our title would be somehow tainted?
Ohio State lost to Michigan in 2010 too, does that not count? We could extend this absurd logic back to 2009 too, and say that Illinois "needed" losses to Wisconsin and Michigan. I get that Izzo was trying to capitalize on the emotion, but anyone who would have criticized this title for being "Back door" had we won it would be a fool.

That being said, I absolutely refused to root for Michigan, the risk was too great of that awful feeling of being disappointed at a Michigan loss, so I chose to, as another poster put it "let history write itself" and not watch the game.

People on this board look stupid laughing at Michigan for choking yesterday. MSU choked last week against UM, and earlier at home against IU. MSU wins either of those games and we are celebrating a title today. We choked.

Wait, I'm still trying to do the math. If we had won one more conference game we'd be in first?

I rooted for Indiana. Time to turn in your Spartan card if you were rooting for UofM.

There is a big difference between wanting Michigan to win and cheering for them. My soul is 1000 percent clear. On this matter at least.

my dream scenario was in play - close game, Indiana making UM sweat with a lead, but UM with a chance to win with plenty of clock left for the final play.

I was a bandwagon; Walverine fan for approximately 13.7 seconds. Then I went back to cursing and mocking them for choking on applesauce. No sense in staying mad.

Yep. People worry more about what happens to some other school than their own. Its like the little kid that resents his brother and hopes he screws up. Loser mentality.
