  • Plenty of experience and quality with players like McDonald, Fonoti, France, Burkland and Jackson. Weird to think of it as the top unit in conference considering the running game left a lot to be desired last season, but the protection for Cousins was mostly excellent after a rough 4-5 game start. Really interested to see what these guys are made of with plenty of time to get comfortable in fall camp, albeit without Joel Foreman.

So, isn't this a relative thing? Do we have to turn into the 1993 Dallas Cowboys and be road graders, to be the top line in the conference? Does ANYONE expect to run that way this season? Wisconsin is the only one I think of in that fashion. Michigan is still run and shoot, depending on AmrPunt McShoelaces and his magical elusiveness, NOT stellar blocking. OSU is looking to spring a back, but is far from the Woody Hayes 3-yards-and-a-cloud-of-dust. PSU is rebuilding in SO many ways.

Who is definitely better than us, with the talent and depth we have returning?

Well, in the Legends division, I wouldn't say anyone is "definitely better" than us. As long as we beat scUM in Ann Arbor, I don't see anyone else making a real push for the division. Especially since Nebraska has to play in EL this year.

As for the rest of the conference, Wisconsin is the only team I would say is better than MSU, but not by much. Yes, they still have Ball but they also lost Russel Wilson, and this Danny O'Brien kid is no Russel Wilson.

You definitely have to go with Wisconsin, at the very least. Wagner is probably another 1st round draft pick, and their smallest starter is 322 freaking pounds.

OSU has more talent and is starting all Juniors and Seniors. That will probably be a very nasty unit as well.

  • Again, MSU and Wisconsin, clearly this guy needs to check the recruiting rankings to see the error in his assessment.

  • If our OL is #1 in the conference, we should have no problem winning 10+ games and being in the conference and national title races. It should definitely be much improved, but #1 is pretty bold.

If we really do have a better O-line than Wisky and OSU, the Rose Bowl is practically a guarantee.

I think his shtick for offense is just going "ROUSHAR!!!" and acting like the obvious play to call was exactly the opposite of whatever play we just ran.

The starting QBs in the B1G are pretty pathetic.

Robinson, Miller, TerBush, Martinez, Scheelhaase, Gray, Colter, and Roberson can't pass. McGloin can't do anything. Vandenberg had a good year last year. Maxwell is unproven and who knows what Wisky is going to get out of O'Brien. He had a good freshman year, took a big step back his sophomore year, then sat out a year to transfer.

I think Maxwell will end up being the best QB (not best athlete posing as a QB) in the B1G this year.
