i'm sorry, but anyone who's sold over 40,000,000 digital tracks (Nielson SoundScan; 7th highest all time, 2nd highest male) is pretty damn good. in 2011, he was the 5th best selling artist, had the 4th best selling album, and has over a million more units sold than the next highest rapper. yea, he's no where near the top

Lupe has been around for a while, but right now Kanye has to be one of the best, Watch the Throne was one of the best albums of the year. Wiz has dropped so bad, every song is about smoking, and he is really mainstream now. Kush and oj was the only decent thing he has put out imo. Sideline story for j cole has made him one of the best for right now. Friday Night Lights and the warm up got him signed by Jay Z, I think he deserves a lot of credit. Lil' Wayne has dropped I think a little bit. Carter 4 and I am not a Human Being for the most part were really bad I thought. Carter III was so much better. I don't know what's going on with Eminem right now, but obviously one of the best all time. Jay Z I feel like everyone has mixed opinions on, but definitely one of the best imo.
