We do have crazy fans. That's why you go to a school like MSU. Some would prefer to play for Miami (FL) but it's a pro atmosphere down there. People here care if our team is good or not and they want to win.
Some fan bases are only outraged on talk radio or in the alumni club. Our fan base can sometimes be a big mob which riots and boos, but usually because they care a lot.
Administrators and police can't control the mob. They've been trying to get rid of the first down cheer for twelve years at least.
Remember the Spartan helmet controversy?
