One big question is what is the status with Clff Alexander and Tyus Jones? Are we anywhere close with either of them, and also what is are shot with Jabari Parker?

Jack, ISnt this a case of high risk/reward. I dont see the plan B's listed here nor have I heard of them. BTW Demetrious JAckson was not mentioned and I think he is a plan A for 2013. No?

i dont know about you guys, but if we got Jabari then that would lead to a higer chance of getting cliff and okafor. I have also heard that Jones and Okafor will attend the same school. Is that true Jack? but anyway my point is... if we find some way to get Jabari, then chances of the 2014 studs coming to MSU is a lot higher.

There have been 20 or so rumored "package deals" over the last 6 years.
I can name you one that's actually happened in the last 6 years. Oden and Conley.
Most (not all) make the decision they figure to be the best for themselves. If a friend joins them, great, but most of the time it's not a joint decision. There are exceptions, but they are rare.

If anything, it can make Michigan State a more comfortable decision. If the #1 recruit in the nation is picking MSU, every recruit, especially the high profile ones, is going to take MSU even more seriously as a potential college destination.

Was Jackson playing in one of the tourneys they covered this weekend? If not, then there's your answer. This article was about prospects who played in those tourneys.
