If you ran track/xc, particularly in Oakland County, you probably knew of Kermit Ambrose. He died last night at age of 101. I was with him and a group at NCAA indoor last spring. An icon. Funeral is Saturday at Lynch & Sons in Clawson
Don't think -- it can only hurt the ballclub

Talked to my mom and my uncle this morning who both had Ambrose as a teacher in high school. I thought he was a gym teacher when I posted earlier, he was not, but neither could remember what he taught. What they do remember though is how big of an ass he was and how nasty he was to students. He was definitely a track and field icon though.
