That thing about the "most dominant B1G team in 20 years" was really hilarious. Seriously though, without reading through the rest of this thread, my take on the Tressel deal is that this was his lesson about bringing punks on to campus. Dantonio, now, looks lucky to have learned this lesson with Winston. I'm telling you, this is the way football is heading, it's simply not worth it to bring in a bunch of punks, no matter how good they are, not if you want to keep your job. These big ESPN stories happen all the time now, and it's more because we pay more attention than anything else. But, this is the way it's going. Iowa had a bit of a thing, and nothing about it was technically an infraction. You've got to keep your nose clean if you want to keep your job. Tressel signed his death sentence bringing in that idiot Pryor, not to mention guys like Small and Clarrett, and it's simply not worth it. The biggest loss for OSU is not that recruiting is going to take a hit, or they are going to lose schollys. Far and away, the worst thing about this is that they are losing a top class coach. Tressel was a great coach, and if OSU thinks that just anybody can replace him, I'm sure they will find themselves mistaken.
