what is the website he works for/runs again? Trying to get some decent tickets for the 12/1 game, would I be best off just getting them now through him or StubHub or waiting till closer to the game?

Sorry for the slow response. I was not really that motivated to come into work today. No Baseball, Hockey and basketball is just beginning. It's going to be a slow winter.

Tritons employees are the best. Always polite and cheerful. Love stopping by there, not many places have that great cust service. Plus love seeing the MSU center logo/court in the office

I'm still amazed at how you make money. If you don't get the tickets before the general public or donars, and you pay public prices, how the hell do you get tickets or make money? For example, I'm assuming $5 is less than face value for the bball game. So are you losing money there? The game 3 and 4 WS tickets were below face, did you take a bath on those? What about the Nebraska game and other spartan football games?

It's funny, but even in Green Bay at Packer games, most of the scalpers hawking tickets are black dudes. (there's not a ton of black people in Green Bay).
Just an observation. Hopefully that's not racist. Probably is though.

He's not expecting to make any/much on exhibition games when he buys his season tickets. Probably doesn't even consider them into his season ticket costs/profits when he buys the season tix in the beginning. He makes them $5 because you might as well make something off them while the customer is loving a good deal. Hopefully it's a loss leader that leads to more sales when they matter.
I'm assuming he makes most of his money on 3-4 games and tries to stay at least even or not lose much on the others. Which is why when there are huge games the prices seem absolutely ridiculous. He's making up for his previous losses as well as trying to turn a profit.
I'm just assuming all of this.
edit: Also I'm sure the Spartans losing a couple of games and the WS situation probably hurt. Although the Championship Series was probably a welcomed income.

Dont look at what prices are the day of the game. Sure there were some WS tickets that went for face but we dont own any bad tickets. Look at what prices were going for when we first closed out NY and the next 5 days. We also own a suite at Comerica.
Regarding MSU basketball, that is one of the easiest things we do. Sure the first 1/2 of the season is garbage and we lose money on every game but the tickets are so cheap that it is easy to get your money back on 4-5 Big 10 game and then the rest is profit. Of course this does not consider employees, rent etc...
This year could be tough for MSU because the only B10 game worth anything on a weekend is OSU. The weekday IU and UM games will crush prices.
