UM DT injured - Pipkins

  • Hope he's okay. Shame on the losers that are upvoting this.

  • Both UM and MSU have been bit the injury bug this fall. We lost Burbridge, Treadwell, and Madaris(high ankle sprain will probably result in redshirt) and UM lost Roundtree, Wormley and now Pipkins. I think because of their injuries Madaris and Burbridge both end up redshirting. Treadwelll could end up losing his starting position. Sounds like Roundtree will be back in time for opener. Wormley was probably looking at a redshirt year and maybe playing a little in the mix. Pipkins is a big loss for them. He was probably going to start on the 2 deep and in their rotation for this season. They have a little more depth on the DL than most realize. Its the OL that has some real depth issues. I think they still have Campbell, Washington, Black, Ash and Wilkens, all seasoned interior guys. But Pipkins was definitely going to be a special player. For the kids sake I hope the injury is not career threatening. This shows the importance of recruiting alot of guys for the trenches on both sides of the ball.

If by "seasoned" you mean "laughably weak" then yes.

And I'm sure you were banging the same "special player" drum before BustWillCampbell stepped on the field as well.

UM probably had this kid waiting in the wings for the Bust Will experiment to fizzle out and die. UM is pumping Campbell up just hoping maybe lightning will finally strike and he will do something. They aren't fooling anyone, Pipkins will eventually start--if okay.

Don't forget all the UM hate "injury wishing, and expressing glee" prior to and after Glenn Winston hurt his knee. That was some of the most sickening sportsmanship of any fanbase I have ever seen.

Or their cheering of Stanton's injury in 2004...but they're trash and I'd prefer to not stoop to that level.

That said, Winston isn't even a Spartan in my eyes, but that's another story for another thread.

Sick people who get a kick out of minors getting injured. They're deranged and have little self worth so they try and validate themselves through the failure of others.

  • btw, remember the biggest thing that lead to um winning last year, 1 of the 3 freak luck things that went there way?

    1. _______________

    2. Every fumble into their hands.

    3. Hemingway winning at .500

Any injury at certain positions is too many for them.

Yes seasoned? If you mean Quintin Washington with 3 career games and 3 career tackles, Richard Ash zero career plays, Jibreel Black of his 15 games and 25 career tackles as a 255 lb DE, Kenny Wilkens with his zero games played in 2 seasons, and Will Campbell of his 19 career tackles in 17 game appearances is seasoned then this is about as seasoned of a group as has ever started for Michigan Football. To put it into perspective both Martin and Vanbergen had more tackles indivually last season than these 5 have had in their entire careers combined. If this team wasn't named the Wolverines and they couldn't will the media the drink the kool-aid at the drop of a helmet, people would be talking about a rebuilding season.

I hope Pipkens is OK, you're going to need him badly, especially for Bama and us.

Stop saying "we" in reference to MSU. Everyone knows you're a UM fan, you're not fooling anybody anymore.

Even UM fans aren't calling their defensive line "seasoned". lol They're starting three new guys who couldn't break into the 2 deep and Jabba the Will Campbell, five star recruit and savior of UM's Recruiting Championship 2008.

Looks like a typical 82"spartan" hit and run job. Post some ridiculously slanted UM fluff and move on to the next thread that offends his UM sensibilities. Report back to Brian and give him a debriefing.

They tend to have a very revisionist view of history, and will never admit to such things. Remember the comments linked from one of their boards about Dantonio's heart attack? According to them no one cheered when Stanton got hurt. I was there, I remember all the snickering and cheering along with a few "yeah, you better stay down!" comments followed with obvious jubilation. That fanbase is a bunch of hypocrites, and deserve every dose of humiliation possible.

The sincerity in this thread is fake.

Let's not forget who this kid plays for. Let us not forget this is the loser fan base who cheered our starting quarterback's injury when a dirty hit took him out of a game we were dominating.

It's not over, it will never be over.

Agree with everything you said. No one with sense on here would be happy about the Pipkins news, but I don't think the majority of Wolvies would feel the same if one of ours went down with a serious injury.

I think one of the issues is you may downvote the topic because it is bad news, but the OP should be downvoted just because he provided a relevant news story. However one may upvote the OP for posting a relevant news story, but they look like dicks for celebrating the kid being injured. I just place no vote on it

Its blatantly obvious you do care about up/down votes. Otherwise, why mention it? Your pretty transparent.

So....-1 for you, because I know it makes your tummy hurt with badly-concealed interweb scorn thumbsup

Btw, on the scUM scout forum they are already piling on the guy that suggests Pipkin sit out for the year.
