UM spring game on BTN now (no I m not obsessed)

  • ONLY guy I've seen today for them that really looks like a player I'd like to see in Green and White is Hawthorne (#7) on defense. Dude is a baller: the rest of them? Bama will roll them by 30

    .........that's IT? It's over? wtf........that was pathetic: fit those effers for some kotex....wish to HELL we played them tomorrow. We'd win by 20 minimum..........

    I think Matt Shephard may legitamately be "slow". There is something not right with him. He just screamed " And the Michigan defense stops them!" after the 4th and 2 off tackle play. If they "stubbed their toe" in East Lansing, this year they will have stubbed their entire foot.

    Matt Shephard is tremendously annoying. He is one of the biggest reasons i can't stand umAA basketball.

    well i think its safe to say there are too many to mention, but he sticks out.

    Also, we always don't look great in spring games especially run blocking and running

    Let's not get to carried away with that "game"

  • Don't think there was too much to learn from watching them today. Saw that Rawls doesn't look bad as a backup back. Above Hayes.
    Saw that Gardner looks rough as a backup qb. Run first. You can tell he was recruited by rr for rr. I wonder if he ever starts a game at qb.

    Was somewhat surprised not to see more of Denard. He is a crowd pleaser and the presumptive starter. Part of me thinks he is still struggling w the passing and they didn't want to show that to the crowd on a bad weather day.

    The fg miss made me lol. Both lines look somewhat suspect but had good moments as well.

    Hoping our spring game gives me more answers.

  • I dont think it matters who they bring in, I don't think they have the ability to make them any better. That is where I think our coaching staff has improved under MD. He can take kids who are willing to work and WANT to be Spartans, and turn them into pro prospects. Ever since RR was hired, scUM hasn't been able to do that. And I haven't seen anything from cHoke to think any different.

    Seriously? UM's defense was vastly improved last year. Their staff is good. Time will tell if they are as good as ours.

    there is one HUGE difference in our spring game vs theres. We have a GREAT defense that is returning almost all it's parts. So if we struggle to run it's how it should be against a top run defense. I'd be hella concerned if we come out running at will against Narduzi's defense this year.

    The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.

    Ofcourse that D is gonna make alot of teams look down right putrid.

    I also predict alot of Nancies are gonna come outta the woodwork after the spring game in full panic mode about our O.

    I am anxious to get a look at Maxwell and the young receivers... if they look respectable it bodes well for the fall.

    We did not recruit Gardner hard

    You're off here, our S&C program wouldn't allow Campbell to be so far out of shape. We recruited those players to develop into something different than well....what they've become at that school.

    true, after our spring game it's going to be "OMG maxwell SUCKS< Bell has lost a step, Oline is terrible, WR's can't catch shit we're dooooomed".

    Also yes we recruited Campbell and Gardner. Though if memory serves (and I could be wrong) the staff prioritized Bolden over Gardner. Bolden I think has the tools to be a great QB his issues just seem to be in the head. Gardner idk i haven't seen anything from him to make me think he'll be a stud once shoelace leaves. Campbell we recruited but to be a long term project. Remember the guys on Spartanmag said all along that campbell was horribly over rated.

    Fuck Campbell and Gardner. I don't give a flying fuck if they were recruited by MSU. They are Wolverines and they are under-performing based on the hype placed on them by idiots who call themselves "Professional Recruiting Analyst. Fat fucking disgraces.

    Still should be more dominate then the O though. Although the lines should be close to evenly marched
