I've used all of them. US Park seems easiest and they usually always have a coupon on the website. But, make sure you have the coupon otherwise you get the full rate.

I've been using the Green Lot lately. Never had any issues getting a shuttle in a timely manner and it's cheap.

How much is it to take a cab/chauffeured car? Whenever we go on longer trips it's actually cheaper and more convenient to do this. I like being dropped off at the terminal and not building in the extra 45 minutes to an hour when using the parking lot shuttle.

I just spend the extra $ to park at the McNamara Terminal. Off site parking sucks, you have to build in an extra 45 min each way.

Also, in the winter there is nothing worse than getting back to your car in an uncovered surface lot and having it covered in ice or snow.

I think you'd be surprised. You might be able to find one-ways for ~$40 and if you're gone for 9 days like the OP, it's $70 vs. $80 and I think the convenience is worth $10.

I disagree on the 45-1 hour extra at DTW. For other airports (especially FLL) I think this is the case but US PARK and airlines parking are both really fast. I'd say 20 minutes extra at the most.
I like US Park better because the bags go right there inside the cab so you can grab them yourself.
If you want help loading/unloading bags then airlines parking is much better as they all get out of their van and put your bags in the back and take them out.
I'd rather have less help with my bags so I go US Park.
Either way DTW is WAY better than a lot of other airports for offsite parking in my opinion.

I thought Airlines has a AAA discount which gets you the $8 all the time. That's what we paid earlier this week at any rate.

don't you know anyone who can give you a ride? I don't think I'd ever park for a week+ unless I really had to.

Seems like I'm working for a cab company by pushing this, but can't you get a round trip car service/cab for less than $100? I live 45 min from O'Hare and can get a cab for $38 each way.
