You really believe that? What happens after he wins a Nati next year... whose the fool then?

Do you have another Maurice Clarrett? I would pick him.

What happens when I shit gold bricks? Jesus, how many NC's has OSU won in the last 40 years? You live in fantasy land.

At best you are showfull. Diarrhea isn't solid in any toilet.

  • I can't remember, did OSU get to keep their one national title in the last 40 years or was that vacated?

    Prolly vacated shrug

  • After forfeits, OSU is:

    0-13
    6-7
    12-0

18-20 over the last three seasons. Better step it up.

it's off topic but forfeits are vacated wins, not losses. Over the last 3 seasons OSU would be 18-7.

Urban wants to be able to poach better talent. So, he asks that his poaching pool improve.

I really hope the rest of the league makes that happen for him.

No offense, but UM is right

The recruiting in the conference is mediocre. It needs to improve.

As an OSU fan i dont believe he is trying to poach anyones recruits, hes just trying to make the conference better as a whole so the SEC doesnt WIN THE LAST 6 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

    You are insanely naive.

I'm proud of a championship coach like Izzo, guy wins and recruits with class.

  • bunch of whiners..Urban flipped one recruit and you act as if the kid didn't have the right to change his mind. Stop being hypocrites and look at the fact that Mark D . is still offering kids that have verbally committed to tOSU.

Well he kind of has to now. Urban introduced a new era of cutthroat douchiness.

And it's not exactly a 2 way street as others have described. Due to the pull OSU has, Meyer knows that for every 1 recruit that gets swiped away from him by a B1G team, he has probably taken 10. Of course he "understands and expects" recruiting to be done this way.

Hey vaggie mike, there is a difference: one coach only entertains a prospect when the player approaches him,the other flips everyone the bird and feels flipping a teenagers committment is some kind of badge of honor. One has respect, the other thinks respect is a tip that you give to a hooker.
Enjoy your undefeated, nonexistent season of the ages.......... woot

Well he has poached and has attempted to poach already committed B10 recruits. So you are either not all there, uninformed, or intentionally naive

Self quoting to build on this thought - it could actually be argued that OSU's ineptitude on the big stage against southern teams was a significant contributor to the tide of southern players staying home in recent years. Today's recruits watched OSU get embarrassed in back to back BCS title games and then one more time for good measure in the Fiesta. Those losses helped cement the image of the B10 being unable to compete with the SEC/Texas and certainly didn't help the case of other conference schools trying to convince recruits to come up north.

Lol at this. I was at the OSU/MSU game in 2006 in EL, I got there about 10 minutes late, real time. When I got to my seat the game was basically over already. 14-0 OSU. The game ended up being 38-3, with MSU getting their 3 in the last 30 seconds or so. For nearly the entire 4th quarter the stadium was completely empty save for OSU fans and a small section of MSU students. After the game walking out of the stadium OSU fans were greeted by MSU fans taunting us with "just wait until you play Michigan" like that was a threat of some kind...I had always respected MSU fans prior to that. The greater point to this post is to point out how OSU dominated you on the way to those BCS title games. Also, how has anyone else in the B1G helped change the perception of the conference? We certainly had our asses handed to us a few times, but we also have quite a few big wins on the national stage. What has the rest of the conference done? I remember a bowl game someone played against Bama a few years ago that made our BCS embarrassments look like nail biters. UM has been embarrassed in a ton or Rose Bowls and Wisky is 0-3 in the last 3 years in Pasadena. My long winded point isn't to troll or flame but merely to point out that 1. the entire conference has had a hand the way we are viewed and 2. all you have to do to fix this problem is keep us out of these games by beating us.

  • I forgot about how urban liar doctored the game tapes he sent us, and we had to go to media to get anything done about it, which happened late Thursday, after practice week was over. A true piece of shit.

You guys fatten up on the b10 and then get slaughtered by the real teams.

Bcs championship games have been better when the "notre dames" and "buckeyes" are out of it.

  • 2006?

    Great point.

    Big Green Stick

  • Lets look at the bigger picture. The same recruits are going to sign with the same numb;er of schools. Its only a matter of how they get to that point.
Urban Meyer wants to lead the charge to do this in the least ethical manner possible. That might work in the short term. But as we have observed in this thread it really just leads us to the lowest common denominator. I dont know exactly what kind of reform could improve this process but it is obviously out of control.

Why all the blah, blah, blah? You should have skipped the prologue and cut to your point. its hard to connect your experience at SS and the evolution of your opinion of the MSU fan base to your theory that we should stop our bitching until we unseat osu as the least embarrassing team in the B1G

That game was the best thing to happen to MSU football in a decade. The ball started rolling at half time for us then. It's a process and dantonio is getting us there.
