Breaking. They have a dollar figure for the new stadium. They are going to let MN and LA try and guess it. Whoever is closest without going over gets the team. If the closest bid is within 100, that city gets the Twins too.

From the way it sounds, the Vikes are good as gone with all the amendments being added to the bill, basically telling them to foot the bill.

No, not at all. The house is hearing it today, adding amendments and will vote. If it passes the senate will hear their version of the bill tomorrow add amendments and vote. If it passes they take the two bills and negotiate one it to one bill. This is far from over.

my guess would be Rams to NFC North, Vikings to NFC West, don't think they will want to mess around with moving teams between leagues (despite it having less of an impact than in baseball).

Yes and no, they made an amendment that said the naming rights would go toward the stadium funding not to the Wilfs. So yes its money out of their pocket but its not money they have to spend, I live in the Cities and this is the talk of the town. One of the reps said this was not an item that would jeopardize the bill.

Ziggy has offered $427 million in stadium construction costs plus $13.5 million per year in operating fees (65 percent of the cost of operating the stadium annually). The rest of the cost would be borne by the city ($150 million toward the stadium) and state ($398 million toward the stadium). It's the third most ever offered by an owner of a pro sports team for a stadium.

Just failed. All the amendment did was move that money towards the funding, chances are it will get taken out.
