Wait, the bill is going to the governor...so now he can take out the extra $50,000,000 the vikes need to pay, because if that stays in there the team is 100% moving to LA. Right tJYD?

Didn't AEG release a video like 2 days ago about Farmer's Field? Remember, the Edward Jones Dome was built even before the Rams agreed to leave L.A.

Gov. Dayton already said his peace in the committee chambers jackass, like he said. Now, from all the reports I have heard, the Vikings agreed to 50 million more just to get the bill done before the session ends, which hints that if they had more time, they would have probably fought it to take it down even more from what the House wanted.

What's your point? That's essentially a conceptual plan video. I missed the super on there that said the shovels in the ground or the scheduled completion date.

You just don't know when to quit do you? You have worse credibility than ghost, and I didn't think that was even possible.

You said the vikings would not pay more than they agreed to, and if they had to they were gone. WRONG.

You said if that extra money stayed in there the governor would take it out. WRONG.

You said Farmers Field was getting built no matter what. WRONG.

You should just quit when you're really really far behind.

A question for the people in this thread who actually know something...that Farmers field concept looks like it's open air. how the hell are they expecting to get the final four if thats truly what it is?

How about you are too darn stupid and lazy to use Twitter and Google in order to piece things together.

BTW, Farmers Field would have to have a retractable roof in order to secure the Final Four. I used Google to get info, do it yourself next time.

Just because they put out a promo video doesn't mean that building the stadium is a done deal. AEG has said that in order to make the stadium worth their investment that they need to own at least part of a NFL team. Until that happens there will be no Farmers Field. I think that eventually the Chargers will move and AEG will buy a minority share in the team, but that video doesn't mean jack shit.

"The key to Farmers Field beginning construction hinges on AEG purchasing a minority or majority stake in an NFL team and moving the team to Los Angeles. The biggest hurdle AEG has encountered and will continue to encounter in this process is they want to buy into an NFL team for what it is currently valued at while teams don't want to sell to them for anything less than what the team will be valued at once they actually do move to Los Angeles."

"I understand NFL teams have a perception of the value of their franchises and we respect that," Leiweke said. "I also understand that for us to make some rate of return on a $1 billion private investment, something that only one other owner has done in the history in the NFL, we have to own a piece of the asset. If you go to (New England Patriots owner) Bob Kraft and you ask him why he privatized Gillette Stadium, what he'll tell you is he owned the team and the increase in value of the team made that risk worthwhile. We're not saying we have to own 100 percent of the team but we have to own a substantial piece of the team and we have to buy it at a valuation before the risk, not after the risk or else there is no upside to compensate us for the risk we took on the $1 billion stadium. That's all this is about. Period. That's the entire issue we will be facing here once we get the EIR done."

Construction on proposed football stadium in Los Angeles could begin by March 2013 - ESPN Los Angeles

Construction on Farmers Field, the proposed football stadium in Los Angeles, could begin as early as March 2013 but if there is no movement on the project within two years of that date, plans for the stadium will likely be abandoned.

Here's the thing, how about you set your Twitter app to follow stories like "Vikings Stadium House" or "FSU Big 12", and you read your tweets hourly. Unless your are a complete moron, it isn't hard to do. It isn't also that hard to GOOGLE items. Some thing can't be linked because it was said on TV and/or Radio, but apparently ChiTown Badger thinks EVERYTHING has to have a link to be true.

OPINION: I think if the Chargers or Rams don't move north, they would turn to USC for leasing the stadium out to replace the LA Memorial Coliseum. Not only that, they could choose to build the stadium before securing an NFL team. Granted, that is rare, but it did happen in the case of St. Louis.

Also, there is talk about the Raiders moving out of Oakland. The current popular plan is to share the new Niners stadium, but they could also move back south to LA.

I don't think that. It's just that you personally throw a lot of "facts" out there, and never seem to have the information to back it up. I get the sense that you like to be the guy with all the breaking news, and that's fine, but if you want to act like mr. insider and not give any details, be prepared for people like me to enjoy calling you out when you're wrong all the time.

Some things I can't give details because there are no links, and that is the way it is. If I am wrong, I am wrong, but I don't just throw stuff out there to see if it sticks. I'm not an insider or never claim to be, I just know that many people such as yourself don't like to google everything and twitter everything and listen to 50 different radio station and check out hundreds of message boards on a weekly basis to get info.

  • Like I said from the start: no way are they going to move a historic franchise like he Vikings over 50 million. That would be flat out stupid. Would have been a black eye like the browns.

They have pretty good fan support and population growth there. LA will probably have to build a stadium ahead of time to entice a team. More likely a team like the rams and the jags.

Having been born and lived alot of my live in the twin cities the Vikings are the favored franchise. They had already experienced the north stars leaving and didn't want to repeat that.

    Here's your problem though.

You throw up every single twitter post or what every talking head says on a radio station as if it's the gospel. Then when that is shown to be wrong, you do one of two things. Either you conveniently edit your original post OR you just throw up more shit without ever admitting you were wrong on your original stuff. That's where you have lost all of your credibility and have become a joke. The only reason most people open and read your threads is to watch for the inevitable train wreck.

You're right, we don't set our twitter apps to follow every single little sports story and aren't constantly checking Google for information. Most of us have some sort of life and actually have to do some work. How an "educator" such as yourself finds the time to do all of this during school hours is just sad. What are your special needs kids doing while you're screwing around on Twitter?

  • First: lol I love reading old tJYD threads. If I could bet against anything he predicts will happen, I would.

Second: AEG is being sold. Some think it means getting an NFL team to LA is easier (if AEG is bought by the right person,Soon-Shiong ) while some aren't so sure.
