    pretty much. Her thing is to go out and be as weirdo as possible. Her and her "multiple personalities" are just another way to be weird like lady gaga. I think it was teh grammys that she came out in like a red nuns outfit with some dude dressed as the pope. Because one of her "alter ego's" is a catholic nun or some shit.

    The first time MSU basketball aired in France the French surrendered to Tom Izzo just to be safe.

  • So obviously you guys just hate rap music. She has done some good features on Kanye and Ludacris tracks and can tear up the mic. Most you guys are just still rocking Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin and wouldn't know music if it hit you in the face. I don't love her stuff, heck not even sure I like it, but try to have a little bit more of an open mind.

    Nicki's ability to rap > Gaga's ability to sing. Gaga is a very average singer, in today's time anyone can be a famous singer. Nicki had to have some talent to get where she is.

  • Of course "Lady Gaga" is simply Madonna 2.0 with her voice, message and style directly lifted from late 80's Madonna. Gaga's look is just Madonna costuming made more exaggerated.

  • For some reason, I watched an hour long show on MTV about her then forthcoming debut album. Yes that's right. Before she had ever even released an album, MTV was hyping her as the next big thing. That's basically all you need to know.

    Music is very subjective.

    I think people who like Skynyrd and Zeppelin know music if it "hit them in the face." I'm a fan of music where there's an actual band, instead of a producer making synthesized beats. That doesn't mean that I think rap sucks or anything, just that it's not my style.

    FWIW, I also find 3 piece indie rock outfits more annoying than just about any style on earth. If ever there was an interest that screams "to each his own", it's musical taste.

    Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

  • I dislike pop music pretty much across the board, but she's hot as fuck and an extremely talented rapper. She is much better as a rapper than a singer. Yes, she dresses really weird and is generally bizarre. That seems to get you attention now.

    Drake? Not that Big Sean? Lupe Fiasco? B.o.B.? Eminem? Many, many more.

    All were being "hyped" before they put out albums. Reason is that you have to put out at least 3 mixtapes before anyone will really listen to you. You have to rise to the top of the underground scene before you can put out an album. MTV wasn't the only one hyping Nicki. XXL, BET, many others were hyping her as well.

    Additionally, Nicki, after being signed by Young Money, she did a lot of features. That really built her rep up quickly to the mainstream. When you're on singles with Ludacris, Usher, and Trey Songz, you build up your rep quickly. She was also on Thank Me Later, which was the 2nd biggest rap album of 2010. Basically, everyone knew who she was already.
