Warning - Transformers 3 is a steaming pile

I watched the first episode of Thundercats a few weeks ago. It's really stupid. I thought it was cool as a small child, but it's not.

i thought you were cool as a small child, but you are clearly not.

Your average UofM fan and I have something in common, neither of us went to UofM. Though we do share One major difference, I got Accepted.

  • I still don't understand why it took $50 and 2 hours you'll never get back to conclude this movie would suck donkey balls. The first one was extremely bad. The second one, I skipped because the first one was extremely bad.

I'd have skipped the third one regardless, but then I happened to be living on the 51st floor of Marina City while they shot the over-Chicago sequences, so I really figured I'd seen all the best stuff from my balcony. No chance I was gonna go watch this shmashmortion.

This is a Pallas’s cat. Their round pupils give them an odd human quality. They disturb me...deeply.

  • If you jackholes would stop paying $12 to see pieces of shit like this then they'd quit making them! But they know there are millions of morans out there willing to fork over their $$ for plotless 'splosion fests so as long as you keep doing so you are part of the problem.

The big issue for Hollywood is that they've effectively burned out the comic book/sci-fi inventory except for Avengers and Dark Knight Rises. After that, aside from reboots like Spider-Man and Superman, there aren't many comics to put on the screen. Sci-fi is even worse. Maybe Lucas will finally decide to do new Star Wars flicks.

Yeah, Lucas should whore out his creation a little more. no And while they're at it, they can make a Harry Potter 7 Part 3 movie so all the sheeple who are fans of these drawn out stories can shell out another 15 bucks to suck on more corporate teat.

I never said Lucas doing that was a good idea. Just said he might do it.

  • I liked it. Mindless entertainment. It was fun. Best one of the three.

First of all -- the Harry Potter books/movies are actually pretty damn good. I was a disbeliever for a long time, but I look forward to reading those stories to my kids and letting them see the films. Now, Twilight on the other hand...

OP, first of all, I want you to know I downvoted your post. Not because it was inaccurate, but because the entire premise was flawed. I mean, you don't start a thread like "OMG, sex is so awesome." It's implied. Were you really under the impression that Transformers 3 would not be a steaming pile? What on earth gave you that idea? I'm not sure that movie had any good word of mouth (unless you're a 4th grade gym teacher or something.)

The real tragedy is that you either were too uninformed or too stupid too realize Transformers 3 was going to be a steaming pile, and thus, you just gave the movie studios more incentive to churn out more of these fucking piles. All these execs see is box office -- the very least you could do is rent it on Netflix or something, if you needed your Shia fix.

This is the reason that big movie fans like myself -- who love just about anything, as long as it's good -- have had basically nothing to watch this summer besides patchwork sequels. I've seen three summer movies, and all three underwhelmed me.

(BTW, the first Transformers wasn't a half-bad movie. At least, the first half was entertaining. There's no reason summer blockbusters HAVE to be shitty, we just are a society that willingly accepts shit.)

    Transformers 3: 2 hours 35 minutes
    Transformers 2: 2 hours 30 minutes
    Transformers: 2 hours 24 minutes

    Yep, twice as long. lol

I think Bay has THE most haters of all filmmakers. Besides Uwe Boll.

Bay has some amazing shots in his movies, can shoot it beautifully, but can't do shit with a story. If you don't like it, don't go see it.

Movie is making zillions. I guess that means people like it. The normal people. Not message board lunatics who never leave their basements.

People applauded the movie when it ended at my theatre. Haters gonna hate.

Woops, looks like I have a "fan" who's offended by my trashing of this Oscar-hopeful with cute robots. Don't worry, brah... if you still enjoy playing with your transformers figurines, this movie sucking donkey dick shouldn't change any of that.

Is that it? You make this broad generalization about a movie that makes 300 million its opening week sucks and all those people who saw it must be morons because they dont agree with your message board nerd opinion? Who is the abnormal misfit here?

I didn't make a broad generalization! I was very specific that the movie sucks donkey balls.

No, sorry chief, you're obviously right... the American movie-going public is both demanding and nuanced in its tastes. That's why only good movies get green-lit, and least-common-denominator garbage never makes box office bank.

Look. My point is sometimes it's fun to go and escape reality and just watch a fun mindless movie with your pals that dosent require fake cuddling with your wife.

I like to go see these movies: tansformers, matrix, etc., with my buddies to chill out from the stresses associated with what I (we) do for a living.

So shoot me. I LIKED THE FUCKING MOVIE. IT WAS GREAT MINDLESS FUN AND THE CHICK HAD A 10 FOR AN ASS.

  • I went and watched it on my day off today. I didn't expect to see the acting or dialogue of The King's Speech; I expected to see explosions, a hot chick and robots fighting. My expectations were met. I don't feel the need to always be moved by a movie or learn a lesson; sometimes I just want to see explosions and relax.

  • First I am amazed that it's doing so well worldwide ($400 million is quite the opening). I guess this is the trend of movies now: go for the global audience. These are the types of movies that can be easily dubbed and attract audiences world wide. Hell Pirates of the Caribbean just made over 1 billion dollars this year.

I guess I just don't see the reason a movie with a hot chick, explosions and robots fighting has to be filled with bad dialogue, predictable storyline, and cliche plot devices. Why can't we have both?
