I would be thrilled if he gets an Elite 11 invite... Keep that string alive.

I'd be surprised; I didn't think he has the hype right now to get the invite, but we'll see.

Michigan State does not and will not run the 3-4 defense.

After seeing his 'film' I could give two shits what any of the services think of this kid. If he can develop any consistent accuracy he has tons of ability and "IT" along with very solid size.

Kid could easily be a legit 6'5" 230 and have really good wheels by the time he ever sees the field (2015).

Marriage is like flying with kids, if the flight had 500 connections, never ended, Ted Striker were your pilot and you ate the fish.

I just don't understand this. As a fan of any school, what would make you Tweet a recruit that committed to another school, and never had an offer from the team you root for? I just don't get it.

Rogers called them Arrogant Assholes for a reason.

Rogers foresaw twitter too. He was THAT smart.

He's a 4* on ESPN and Ranked the #9 dual-threat quarterback nationally. Seeing as ESPN runs the Elite 11 camp, it doesn't seem like much of a long shot. shrug

I almost never check ESPN's rankings. Wow, that's the highest i've seen him rated.

You are correct about his lack of hype, but remember MSU has some ties to the Elite 11 leadership which won't hurt (paging Triton for comment).

In all fairness, ESPN's rankings just came out. Sometime after 11:30AM today, as I checked and no one was ranked this morning. Still though, the evaluation write-up they have on him sounds like they came away impressed. They describe him as "way under the radar" and have very high praises for both his arm strength and athleticism. They say he's a "pocket passer with the ability to make plays with his legs, not an athlete who happens to play QB." The only criticism in the report is that he needs to work on getting his mechanics more consistent. I'm confident that Dave Warner will have this kid ready to go by the time he's needed.

  • There are 30 other guys with the same or a higher rating on ESPN, 17 have the same rating.

How many did they invite to the camp like year? 20?

Also I remember performances at the regional E11 camps playing a big part in being selected, so he should have a shot to play his way to CA.

I only go by the MDRS (Mark Dantonio Rating Service) player rating service and they have him and many of the other recruits rated as five stars since they all received early offers. I found this service to be the most accurate when it comes to assessing the current ability and future potential talent of players.
