Ah this reminds me of one of my finest flights ever. Flying to Colorado from Detroit and the flight is at 5am. I worked in the restaurant I was working at while at State the night before and had to close it. Get done around 11 and the manager who is also a friend too had just broken up with his gf and wanted to bitch about it. So hes like lets have a drink at the bar, well it is now 2 am and I still have not packed but had done laundry at least and I am hammered after many shots and drinks. I threw my entire laundry basket into a suitcase, woke up my roommate who had already agreed to take me to detroit but neither him or his gf knew how to get there. So I am giving hammered directions to detroit and make it just in time, wear sunglasses thru the gate to help hide my hammeredness and make it on the plane. Get on the plane and immediately pass out, next thing I know I am being shaken by the captain of the plane, not a stewardess, the freaking captain and he is saying, "if you can understand what I am saying, say I am in Chicago." I drunkenly respond, "uhm Im in Chicago, thought we were going to Colorado?" He tells me that this is a connecting flight and I have to get off the plane immediately because other people need to board. My next flight isn't for two more hours and I do not let myself sleep for fear I will not wake up and be stuck in the terminal like that tom hanks character. Make it to the next flight, and immediately pass out again and wake up in Colorado. I was not awake for a second of either flight, truly the only way to fly.
