MSU doesn't buy anything from GFS, they've got an exclusive deal with Sysco, No idea what brand the hotdogs are though, probably some generic 'skinless' Sysco product.

They are cooked in high-pressure steam ovens which I think contributes to their terrible texture. That cooking process would be difficult to replicate at home.

Father in law says that they are boiled, not cooked in steam ovens. Some are grilled and others are baked, depending on the venue at MSU.

Edit: He also says they do buy some stuff from GFS too.

This. They are boiled in large vats in the concession areas by the volunteers.

Father in law says they are not under Hospitality Group. Hospitality Group does Kellogg, Union, and Stadium catering. They do not do Concessions.

I prefer Dugout Dogs.

MSU Concessions is a unit of Culinary Services which is a department within the Division of Residential and Hospitality Services (RHS). So they are in the same division as those other units and report up through the same A-VP, so I'm not sure the distinction is all that important for this discussion.

Also, I sort of like Spartan Stadium hotdogs but the top item is the caramel corn.
