I believe the ticket is significantly larger than that. Not to mention they issue passes for each spot in the lot so you're screwing over somebody who donated money to get that spot.

Terrible idea. That is a lost opportunity for profit on our end.

You can leave your car in the lot until Monday morning at 5AM without getting ticketed. I usually leave my car until Sunday afternoon and just take a cab or get a ride home. It's a great strategy. You can park at meters and in lots on the weekends for free without passes except for football saturdays and the night before football saturdays.

edit: To be sure I would call and ask the MSU police about it because each lot may be different. 517-355-2221. I've never had a problem in Lot P or any of the ramps but I've never parked in J.

I just called MSU police and was told that a vehicle left in a lot Saturday night will get ticketed for $25. It will not be towed unless you have six or more outstanding MSU ticket violations.

Also, the statute of limitations does not carry over to the 1989 to 1994 school years.
