Gogol Bordello. Saw them at the Fillmore this summer and had an absolute blast. Different sound but they put on an incredible live show.

Good call. I saw them on Palladia several months ago as I flipped through channels. Stopped to watch and listen to the rest of their set. Different, for sure, but fun.

I saw them 6-7 years ago open for Flogging Molly in Royal Oak. I had never heard of them before. At the show, I was amazed how many people in the audience were singing along with every song of theirs. Since then I've seen them 3-4 other times. Always put on an interesting show.

I dig their sound, but not their lyrics... NGHFB's first album blows Beady Eye's first album out of the water.

Fossil Collective - 'Let It Go' Official V...

Out now on iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/album/let-it-go-ep/id519019100 'Let It Go' is the lead track from the 'Let It Go' EP released 11th June 2012 by Dirty Hit. http://www.facebook.com/fossilcollective http://www.fossilcollective.com I'm on the inside everybody knows what you will say. Leaves on the ground, already came. We were an island, you were the one who broke away. I was a mess before you came. We started something, tried to make a fire without a flame. Why it wasn't right I couldn't say. There's a light in the sky and it's coming up high And why did I ever go - the longest night I've ever known Only when the moon is high enough. Only when the stars are lining up. Let it go - now is not the answer How can anybody else have known Let it Go - now is not the answer Call me when you see the sun lie low You were the ocean - I was drawn into you. But you can't always get where you are going to Where are we going ... where are we going. There are mountains to climb so let me will carry you. This collaboration between Fossil Collective and Broken Pixel (www.brokenpixel.co.uk) has produced a miniature stop-motion epic. Let It Go is a tale of tragedy, heartbreak, hope and determination. Inspired by the creative and narrative possibilities of the extraordinary indie game Minecraft and the classic conceit of Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. We created a world made entirely of paper, and brimming with detail. Hundreds of tiny props were used to make the island a believable and interring place. See if you can spot all of Fossil Collectives' desert island discs! The story is set over two points in the life of Edward and Anne, a couple separated by an ill fated scarf saving incident. As Edward comes to terms with his situation, he uses ingenuity, determination and patience to reach his goal.

Been into this band for a few years now and they just dropped an album today. They're from the Farmington area and the singer/writer went to MSU. LOTS of Michigan related references in their songs (even name check Baker Woodlot in one of their new ones).

I'm on mobile, but check out the song "Pontiac, The Nightbrink."

Your Soul On Mine (Spencer Parker Remixes) Traxsource Promo Release Date: August 09,2010 Release Date: August 30, 2010
 Catalog #: SK 129
Label: Street King
The Hype On Chris Brann's brainchild P'taah returns with a special double release. "Everything Is Naturally Free," with superb Edit made especially for this Traxsource exclusive by edit-master, Danny Krivit, has been winning over the crowds when he played it at his renowned 718 Sessions parties as well as the legendary Body & SOUL events. There's so much riding on this mix it's almost impossible to describe. "Your Soul On Mine" however borrows from different styles & cultures, tapping into a bit of Afro at the start and ending up with a lovely jazzy lite-house groove on the original version. UK House producer Spencer Parker is on remix duty adding a bit more acoustic rawness with live-sounding percussion colored by repeated cinematic piano and string jabs while keeping the jazziness intact. Spencer's Dub is a bit more clubby with more pronounced baseline, snappy kick and robot clap. Listen and know what we mean.
