My favorite job ever was working at a movie theater as an Usher. Just took some tickets, cleaned up the theater, occasionally worked the snack bar, and most eff around with all the other high school kids I worked with. I used to enjoy going to that job. If it could pay the bills I would go back to it.

I worked for MSU Grounds and loved it when I was qualified to run one of the gang reel mowers. But the best job ever was in the summers at MDSH (Mich Dept of State Highways) now MDOT doing bridge deck and sign maintenance. Jackhammers, sandblasters on the girders with a hood on the scaffolds, slapping on the red lead paint, while the older full-time dudes with their pork pie hats were nipping their 4 Roses flasks. Even better was pavement marking, striping before the quick-dry paint now. Do you want to be the guy dropping the cones or the one retrieving them? I always picked the latter. You could scope out chicks in the backed up traffic - better than being up front.

I had fun working at the Holland State Park one summer. It was totally stupid work (shoveling sand off the parking lot even though it would just blow right back on) but it was fun working the late shift from 4pm-2am when no one was there at night

There's been a lot of road/utility construction around my house lately, and it seems the guy who runs the back hoe doesn't really do much of anything. Fire it up bright and early, rev it up a few times, then let it idle for a couple hours while you smoke. Then, dig a hole, make a big pile of dirt right before lunch...at the end of the day, take the pile of dirt, and put it back in the hole you dug earlier.

I always wanted that summer job. The hot chicks from my HS all got jobs cutting grass at Mejeir Warehouse because someone's dad was a big wheel over there. Seemed like a cake job. When the weather was nice you were outside all day getting a tan. On shitty days you sat in an office.
As a cook I loved working at pizza places in HS. 1) Pizza is awesome 2) It's not tough to make a good pizza 3) Its a hell of a lot of fun throwing dough around.
When I was recently looking for a job I thought about applying to a few pizza places but then I saw that they are still paying the same rate I was making in HS
