The law school is downtown off the Mag Mile, which is both cool and expensive. I loved my experience there, but that had as much to do with finding a great group of friends than anything else. I guess that was the biggest plus about Loyola; it wasn't cut-throat like Northwestern or U of Chicago. No one was stealing notes/sabotaging exams. The tax program is somewhat of a hidden gem; the author of one of the leading corporate tax text books is a prof there and heads the tax department. That played a big role in my decision to get my LL.M from there.
Loans suck for attending a private school, so if I had to do it over again, I'd probably work for a couple of years, save up some $$ for living expenses and try to shave $20K off the loans. Unless you're getting a 50% scholarship or more, I'd recommend taking a couple years post-undergrad to work before jumping to a professional school.

He's technically correct. It has something to do with research. Doctors and lawyers don't have to do research to complete their schooling. It sounds like bullshit, but an M.D. is the same academic level as a Bachelor degree.
I'm in PA school right now which is in the College of Medicine and the PhDs that teach us make it clear that only PhDs are "real doctors" because they've done research.
Edit: I guess I should add University of Toledo College of Medicine, MSBS Physician Assistant.
