Don't discount the fact that the kid has been bombarded by a no accomplishment qb who can't even win a state title but he is bragging about winning a national championship at a school which has only one a half titled (shared)almost 15 years ago??!
A bunch of egomaniac recruits so far in the last two scuM classes that are thinking they are going to waltz into the NC game- really?!!

Bam! THIS!
No doubt the kid has great talent and I wish it could have worked out to keep him here, but he has made it clear that he feels that he is above MSU Athletics. If that's the case, that's fine - best wishes to him wherever he ends up. I would rather see that scholarship go to a player who wants to be a Spartan and will bust his ass to leave his mark on the program.

Absolutely! In 07 State lost out on 5 Star Ron Johnson who left for sunny So Cal. He got injuried and had an average college career and is now struggling to find a NFL roster spot. Next yr some no name 2 star from Westerville Ohio named BJ Cunningham WANTED to be a Spartan and now all future MSU wideouts are chasing his records!
hoke- to alter or manipulate so as to give a deceptively or superficially improved quality or value.

I don't wish ill upon the kid. It's better to have a guy decommit now than in December. While I do think it was a little cheap to have his HS coach call MD instead of calling personally, I do think he did the right thing to decommit sooner rather than later. So hats off to him for that.
MD will find--if he hasn't already--other WR(s) who MSU will put in the NFL. One positive tradition this program has maintained consistently has been putting WRs in the NFL--even after some of MSU's bad seasons.
Mumphrey, Arnett, Burbridge, Madaris etc...MSU is stacked at WR. And don't forget about Kings, Jr.. Here is a kid who excites me because he was pumped to come to MSU. He may not have had the star appeal that Harris has but I want kids who are genuinely excited to play at MSU. Not always, but a lot of times, those less hyped recruits end up doing better than higher rated guys.
Not sure why, but I'm really excited to see what Warner (and Bollman) experiment produces. I think it is going to make recruits change their minds--I hope any way.

Dantonio has proven on and on again that he has done it with less talent. Let's see how this plays out. After our offense last year..it might have impacted his decision. Of all the schools that he is looking at though..MSU, Alabama, Florida and ND fit him the best. They all run prostyle offenses. I don't know what kind of offense Michigan runs and Ohio State runs a gimick spread offense that doesn't utilize Wide outs.

My thinking is that kids that go to Michigan or OSU feel like they've already arrived . Kids go to Michigan State with a point to prove, and under Coach D, that dynamic has shown itself on the field.
If you grow up a Michigan State fan and commit to play for our team, and then you decide that you're too good to wear the Green and White, it probably means you never had the right outlook to be a part of that family.
What I find pretty hilarious is people on twitter ripping Linthicum and other people that have PLAYED and BLED for for our jersey for questioning Harris' choice and calling him out for it. Apparently any decision a 17 year old can make is beyond reproach.
